In the geats basin region soil was too hard and rocky for farming, so people had to travel in search of food
The great plains people were nomadic their tribes include the crow, the comanche and the lakota. Their villages were temporary lasting only for a growing season or two. The woman planted maize, squash beans, the men hunted antelope deer, and buffalo. Tepees were used as housing because it was easy to transport. When the people moved from place to place they dragged their homes- cone shaped skin tents called tepees behind them. Buffalo were used to fulfill basic needs 1.skin was used for clothing and shelter 2. Bones were used for tools and weapons . 3 meat was used for food.

Learning to farm is a positive for nomads living thousands of years ago since they can build larger families as well as communities. Learning to farm was also positive since you can build a healthy lifestyle and stable food supply.

They became frames and coverings for longhouses
The iroquois carved wood into the shape of bowls and spoons
Thin splits of wood were woven to make baskets
Birch tree bark was used to make cooking containers and canoes.
