What is considered normal verses what is considered a pathology depends on your perspective. There is no objective normality or pathology. They are social construction that can differ based on culture. For example, for a disabled person, a wheelchair is a normal, but an able-bodied person, it is seen as a pathology.
Norm are rules /expectations that gover how one should behave.

Strengths Perspective?
A
Social worker concept of focusing on strengths as a basis for empowerment.
- Every individual, group, family or community has strength.
- Trauma abuse, illness and struggle can be injurious but can also lead to opportunity.
- You do not know the upper limit to growth and take others’s aspirations seriously.
- Every Environment is full of resources.
