A

Complete alignment when:
FFOD
Crew change
Departing Latitudes <2 north or south
GPS not avail, Navaid coverage poor
GPS not avail and flight time > 3hrs

Complete fast align if:
Complete align not required and Drift > 5nm

Do not align when moving or when starting or with engines running

Cockpit door check
FFOD

A

Ann light test (Open/Fault on pedestal and 3 LED striker lights on overhead come on)

Close door, toggle switch to unlock (open light should be on)
Release switch to recenter
Close door and check “Open” goes off

Check door opens normally and closes when mechanical override is used

Maintenance action required if:

A

Both primary and secondary databases are expired

Primary navigation database will expire during flight and secondary does not contain next cycle

RNAV restrictions if AIRAC cycle will change in flight:
- Dispatch will only plan RNAV/RNP routes if unchanged in new database
- RNAV procedures are permitted if unchanged in new database
