What is a normal curve?
A
- Bell shaped
- Symmetrical, therefore the mode, median and mean all lie on the line of symmetry
- Width of curve shows how spread out the distribution is

A
Naturally occurring distributions, e.g. Men’s height or childrens shoe sizes

What does a normal table do?
A
Shows the exact area under curve to the left of z, represented by P(Z<z) or the greek symbol phi(z)
