Primitive reflexes name them (5) & significance
GRAMS - should disappear by 6 months. They are inhibited by the frontal lobe (retained in children with neuro insult and can reappear e.g. stroke) Grasp Rooting Asymmetric tonic nexck reflex Moro Stepping response
When the primitive reflexes disappear, protective responses are gained, give an example (1)
Downward parachute - suddenly bring baby down - will abduct legs and try to land on floor
