Non precision approaches Flashcards
1
Q
Circling
A
Highest minimums, requires circling in the traffic pattern to a runway the approach didn’t line you up for.
2
Q
LNAV
A
Lateral navigation, no vertical guidance, has an mda, most basic.
3
Q
LNAV/VNAV
A
Lateral and vertical guidance, vertical guidance comes from an altimeter (baro assisted approach) we follow a glide path down to a DA which can be lower than a DA
4
Q
LPV
A
Localizer performance with vertical guidance. Gets more sensitive as we get closer. Vertical guidance is accurate enough to follow a glide path. Must be WAAS enabled.
