Fixed period
No need for notice tenavcg will end through effluxion of time
Periodic :
Common law - notice same as lease period Week month quarter or 6 months for yearly lease
But Eviction Act 1977 changed that :
Notice must be :
Min 4 weeks , served in writing , contain prescribed info :
Proscribed info is described in Notice to quit regulation 1988:
Landlord must have possession order
, possession order can’t be made until notice expires, receiver of notice must get advise from solicitor
Periodic non housing
Used to be weekly monthly or quarterly but protection for eviction act 1977 changed it and it’s min 4 weeks
Wait for nituce yo scourge and than you can apply for possession
If not criminal offence
Notice to quit
To end tenancy under non housing act 1988
