Tells the names of chapters & what page the chapters can be found
Table of Contents
A table of contents tells the names of chapters and which pages the chapters can be found.
Title
A title identifies the topic of the whole text.
Index
An index tells me where the readers, on different pages, can find different topics.
Glossary
The glossary explains the definitions of words you may not be familiar with.
Heading
The heading eperates the text into sections and explains what that portion of text will be about.
Photograph
A photograph is a picture of something using a camera.
Illustration
An illustration is a picture either drawn traditionally or digitally by an artist.
Caption
A caption defines what a photo or illustration means.
Chart
A chart ogranizres numbers and information in a way easy to be read by the reader.
Map
The map shows where places and events are located.
Close-ups
Close-ups are zoomed in, or enlargened, photographs to allow readers to see smaller details difficult to see at normal size.
Cutaway
A cutaway allows the reader to portray what the inside and outside of something would look like.
Special Print
Special print either bolds of italics words that hold some sort of significance and/or can be found in a glossary.
Fact/Text box or Sidebar
The sidebar gives out extra, interesting information about the topic.
Hyperlink
A hyperlink is a clickable link to another source or website that may have extra information on the topic.
