Breath Support
The ability to have enough breath to sing the line you need; not too much, and not too little.
Belting
The use of chest voice in order to produce powerful, forceful, and resonant sounds.
Head Voice
The highest notes of your vocal range.
Chest Voice
The low notes of your vocal range.
Vocal Distortion
The engagement of your false vocal folds.
Enunciation
Pronouncing words clearly.
Diction
The choice of words when singing (or speaking).
Lip Bubble (how to do it)
Breathe in through your nose, then when you breathe out, vibrate your lips as if you were blowing bubbles underwater.
Overtone
When a singual pitch producces multiple additional harmonic pitches through mathematical divisions
A Cappella
Singing without intrumental accompaniment.
Diaphragmatic Breathing
The use of air from your diaphragm in order to project your singing voice instead of having to take shallow breaths from your throat.
Fermata
A note that goes beyond the normal duration it’s note value would.
Mixed Voice
The middle notes of your vocal range.
