Component of diet
80 grams Hills S.D. Adult kibble. Diet prepared by commissary and dropped AM and PM by trainers
Current medical conditions/medication expectations
Receives 1/2 teaspoon arthritic powder each once a day to help with joints. It is signed for in the compliance binder and recorded in ZIMS daily. Gus has cataracts and may need eyedrops in the future.
Cleaning expectations
Spot cleaned daily by area. Locked off for Big 4 on Mondays by trainers, who stay to help Big 4 during area. Big 4 is recorded in ZIMS.
BE expectations and approved enrichment
Receives enrichment daily and also required to have at least one walk each daily.
Approved enrichment- meet and greet, walk, scents/oils, play yard, relationship building, rearrangement of enclosure items, treat log ice, mixed veg ice block, boomer ball, frozen towel
Past problematic enrichment
Chewed towels/blankets
Eats grass
Chews up toys if left unsupervised
All mandatory behaviors and current progress on them
Gus- crate, scale, leash, side, muzzle, sub-Q, walking, nail trim
Tucker- crate, scale, leash, muzzle, sub-Q, walking
CURRENT PROGRESS: Crate, leash, walk is solid for both. Side is solid for Gus. Muzzle- eye drops? Haven’t seen Sub Q. Nail trim is decent for both.
Safety when:
-working with animal
-potential escapes
-zoonotic diseases
-working with (fear bite, don’t startle)
-potential escapes (hard to corner, fast, fearful. Would probably keep within eyesight and follow at a distance, encourage dog to come voluntarily. Perhaps able to drive dog into carns area if gate opened.
-low risk of zoonotic disease. Caught up on vaccs.

Born October 15, 2010. They are both thirteen years old.
Species
New Guinea Singing Dog. Species of wild dog found only in New Guinea. Listed as domesticated by IUCN.
Acquisition history
Came from a hoarding situation. Confiscated from a private home in Pennyslvania and and rehomed with the help of New Guinea Singing Dogs Conservation in 2011.
