Newtons Laws Flashcards
Force
a push or a pull exerted on an object in order to change the motion of an object
motion
a change in position overtime
Net force
The combination of all the forces acting on a object
Speed
Distance travlede over time
speed equals distance divided by time
Velocity
The speed and direction of a object
acceleration
the rate at which velocity changes over time
newtons first law
an object will remain at rest and an object in omtion will stay in motionunless acted upon by an outside force
newtons second law
force= mass x accleration
newtons third law
for evert action there is an equal but oppostie reaction
inertia
the tendancey of an object to resist being moved or if the object is mmovinh to resist a change in speed or direction until an outside for acts upon it
friction
a force that resist motion
Mass
Theamount of matter in an object
