New right reject the view that economic factors and social inewuality lead to crime
We are rational thinkers - we CHOOSE to commit crime

Underclass are a new social problem….only developed during the 20th century due to an over generous welfare state
Choose not to work —> underclass = breeding ground for crime —> crime is due to poor socialistaion

House prices drop, people move away
Respectable public who can’t move away will saty in doors after dark
ASB becomes a normal part of that community
