1) INTRAMUCOSAL NEVUS: COMMON INTRAORALLY/NEVUS CELLS LOCATED IN THE CONNECTIVE TISSUE ONLY (LAMINA PROPRIA) OF THE ORAL MUCOSA/LESIONS (SLIGHT RAISED, BROWN, LESS THAN 8 mm
2) BLUE NEVUS: SECOND COMMON/DARK BLUE COLOR/NEVUS CELLS INHABITING DEEP CONNECTIVE TISSUE
3) COMPOUND NEVUS: RARE INTRAORAL NEVUS/NEVUS CELLS LOCATED EPITHELIUM/CONNECTIVE TISSUE
4) JUNCTIONAL NEVUS: RARE INTRAORAL/FOUND INTERFACE EPIDERMIS/LAMINA PROPRIA
5) INTRADERMAL NEVUS: MOST COMMON SKIN (ONLY DERMIS)/RISK OF MALIGNANT TRANSFORMATION (MELANOCYTIC NEVUS = MELANOMA IS LOW/NO THE SAME IN ORAL MUCOSA/PIGMENTED LESIONS (ULCERATIONS)/INCREASE SIZE/DARKENING IN COLOR/BIOPSY (CHANGES MAY INDICATE TRANSFORMATION INTO A MALIGNANT MELANOMA
