Q

Dopamine ( Nigrostriatal pathway)

A

Dopamine has a reciprocal relationship with acetylcholine (ACH) .

  • When serontin is blocked by SDA - dopamine increases

Therefore - Ach decreases causind decrease EPSE sx.

EPSE is caused by increase ACH

Q

Dopamine (Tuberfundibular pathway)

A

Dopamine inhibits prolactin. ( stops)

  • Blocking Dopamine by SDAs cause prolactin to increase, causing galactorrhea ( production of milk) and gynecomastia ( breast tissue )
