Q

Describe the spinal/reflex Response

A

Nerves in spinal cord capable of initiating a simple response independently of the brain called a spinal reflex. Spinal reflexes are adaptive – they save time and minimise harm, could save your life.

Q

What is synapse

A

Neurons send information to other neurons at the synaptic gap. The point of communication is called the synapse. Once the electrical message reaches the axon terminal a chemical process occurs. The chemicals released from the synaptic knob of neurons are called neurotransmitters.
