Q

Why do some people feel pressure even after they’ve been anaesthetised?

A

Because the LA is able to work more efficiently on non- myelinated/ small myelinated fibres alot faster than large myelinated fibres. Pressure receptors are generally large myelinated fibres. In addition, pressure is the last thing to be anaesthetised.
