A
Nerve cells that transmit signals two ways; electrically through action potentials and chemically unsung neurotransmitters

A
Send information from the sense receptors in the PNS to the CNS

Relay neurons
A
Connect sensory to motor neurons, allowing them to communicate with each other within CNS

A
Send messages from the CNS to effectors (muscles/glands)
