A
It requires:
-axon formation.
-axon extension and synapse formation towards the correct target neurons.
-growth cones are attracted or inhibited via interactions with their environment.
-requires bidirectional communication between pre- and post-synaptic neurons.

A
The problems with formation or maintenance of synapses; linked to behavioral disorders.

What is neurogenesis?
A
It’s the existence of stem cells with the capacity to divide to form new neurons. There is evidence of this occurring in humans. There are conditions that allow new neurons to send axons to the correct target neurons. This will be inhibited by the adult glia.
