Autosomal dominant Myotonia - means muscle relaxation is impaired Most severe form is congenital Can affect any muscles Can develop at any age Life expectancy isn't always affected

X-linked recessive Progressive Proximal muscle weakness Like Duchenne's but... - Develops later in childhood - Less severe

X linked recessive (or sporadic) Most common and severe form Affects boys in early childhood Prognosis - 20s or 30s Affects muscles of thighs/pelvis first
