What is Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)
consistent pattern of anger, irritable mood, defiant behavior, and vindictiveness towards authority that occurs for at least 6 months and not towards a sibling
What is the difference between ODD and IED
IED is generally good behavior that is interrupted by a sudden episode of unwarranted anger lasting 30 minutes or less, ODD is generally defiant behavior
What are the diagnosis requirements for IED?
episodes are twice a week for three months
or
three outburst resulting in damage to property or physical assault in a 12 month span
