A
  • any changes in vision? = dmg to eyes
  • loss of sight/blurriness = migraines
  • any changes in hearing?
  • do you have hearing aids?

Head Injury Questioning

A
  • any recent trauma?
  • If there was a decrease in GCS, I’d be thinking about Cushing atriad
  • Red flags for increased intracranial pressure = high BP, Brady, irregular resps
  • Head Injury Red Flags - > vomiting syncope, amnesia, headache, blood thinners

Balance and Memory Questioning

A
  • do you feel unbalanced? = ear infection
  • vertigo = feeling like the room is spinning around you = labyrinthitis (balance, vertigo, tinnitus. Ear infection)
    = vestibular neuritis = ear infection without tinnitus
  • any changes to memory = dementia, clot, tumour
