MEPs vs SSEPs

A

MEPs = motor evoked potentials
evaluate integrity along corticotspinal tract & any nerve structure along EFFERENT motor pathway
anterior spine
decreased amp and increased latency may be d/t occlusion of radicular arteries –> nerve ischemia

SSEPs = somatosensory evoked potentials
dorsal horn
