neural network Flashcards
is a biological neutral network. it functions on how things and processes interconnect and work independently
human brain
it is linked to the rest of the body by a peripheral nervous system
brain
it controls motor skills that enable vertebrates to move around by coordinating in every muscles in the body
cerebellum
it relays information to and from the cerebral cortex
thalamus
it regulates essential autonomic bodily functions such as cardiac rhythm
hypothalamus
the network within the brain
neurons
the largest part of the brain and is composed of right and left hemisphere
cerebrum
it acts as a rely center connecting the cerebrum and cerebellum to the spinal cord such as breathing, heart rate, body temp, wake and sleep cycles
brainstem
it increases the brain surface area allowing more neurons to fit inside the skull and enabling higher functions
cortex
this nuclei work with the cerebellum to coordinate fine motions such as fingertip movements
basal ganglia
it is the center of our learning memories and emotions. included in the system are cingulate gyri, hypothalamus, amygdala (emotional reaction) and hippocampus (memory)
limbic system
is a relationship that occurs as a result of a successful networking and its primary goal
connection
interacting with other people to exchange information and develop contacts
networking
functions of the brain
the brain sends and receives chemical amd electrical signals. some messages are kept in the brain while others relayed through the spine and across the body
