What does a ring network look like?
A
The nodes are connected in a ring. Data is transmitted around the ring, being passed to each node until it arrives at its destination.

What does a bus network look like?
A
All the nodes in the network are connected to a bus - a cable down which data can be sent. The bus has terminators on each end.

What does a star network look like?
A
Each node is connected to a central node, which may be a file server or a hub.
