Networking Flashcards

Host, Clients, Communication media, communication interface, Protocols
Peer-to-Peer

Hosts have specific roles. Centralized control and storage allows for scalability.
Subnets
Devices connected through the same hub/switch are on the same subnet; routers are used to connect subnets
Dial-Up
Uses a RJ-11 cable and has transfer rates of 28.8, 33.3, 56 Kbps. You can’t use the phone and the data(Internet) at the same time.
