Origin of sciatic nerve
Sacral plexus ( anterior and posterior divisions of anterior rami of L4_S3 spinal nerves
Course of sciatic nerve
Leaves pelvis and enters the gluteal region via greater sciatic foramen inferior to piriformis and deep to gluteus Maximus, descends in posterior thigh deep to biceps femoris and bifurcated into tibial and common fibular nerves at apex of popliteal fossa
Distribution of posterior cutaneous nerve of thigh
Supplies skin of inferior half of buttocks , skin over posterior thigh and popliteal fossa and skin of lateral perineum and upper medial thigh

Originated from sacral plexus
Posterior divisions of anterior rami of L4 to S1
Course of superior gluteal nerve
It enters the gluteal region via greater sciatic foramen superior to piriformis courses laterally between gluteus medius and minimus as far as tensor fascia latae
Distribution of superior gluteal
It innervates gluteal minimus, gluteal medius, tensor fascia latae
Origin of inferior gluteal nerve
Sacral plexus, posterior divisions of anterior rami of L5_S2 spinal nerves
Course of inferior gluteal
Enters gluteal region via greater sciatic foramen , inferior to piriformis and deep to inferior part of gluteus Maximus dividing into several branches
Nerve to quadratus femoris 0rigin
Sacral plexus Anterior division of anterior rami of L4_S1 spinal nerve
Distribution of quadratus femoris
Innervates hip joint, inferior gemellus and quadratus femoris
Origin of pudendal nerve
Sacral plexus anterior divisions of anterior rami of S2 to S4 spinal nerves

Principal nerve to perineum
Course of pudendal nerve
Exits pelvis via greater sciatic foramen
Descends posterior to sacrosinous ligament
Enters perineum through lesser sciatic foramen
