Infraorbital nerve block

The teeth, bone, and soft tissue in a maxillary quadrant, from the 3rd premolar rostral to the 1st incisor
Where do you locate the rostral maxillary block?
Lift the lip and locate the infraorbital foramen
What is the other name for the caudal mandibular block?
Inferior alveolar nerve block
What is the caudal mandibular block used for?
To desensitize the bone and teeth of one mandibular quadrant
How can the caudal mandibular block be done?
Intra-oral or extra-oral
Where do you apply the anesthetic for the caudal mandibular block?
To the inferior alveolar foramen, located on the mesial surface
What is the caudal maxillary block used for?
Bone, teeth, and soft tissue in a maxillary quadrant
Where is the needle inserted for the caudal maxillary block?
Perpendicular to the plane of the palate, behind the last tooth in the maxillary quadrant
