A
proteinuria - frothy
hypoalbuminaemia
oedema - salt + water into extracellular space; increased salt + water retention by kidney
hypercholesterolaemia - liver makes more cholesterol, linked to compensatory increase in albumin synthesis

nephrotic syndrome - main causes in adults
A
glomerulosclerosis - esp due to diabetes
membranous GN - usually idiopathic but does have causes
amyloidosis

A
oedema - diuretics + salt restriction
ACEis - reduce protein excretion (lower glomerular filtration pressure)
anticoagulation
statins
