A

also called mesangioproliferative
mesangial hypercellularity
positive immunofluorescence for IgA and C3

*commonest cause of glomerulonephritis world wide
young males
recurrent episodes of haematuria
leads to chronic renal failure
- a/w alcoholic cirrhosis & coeliacs
