A
Pediatrician specializing in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine acts as the primary principal care providers for sick new born infants. Rather than focusing on one organ systems, their care is for newborn babies which will require ICU hospitalization. (and may also act as general pediatricians)

A
- 3 yr pediatric residency
- Board certification in pediatrics
- 1+ years of sub specialty fellowship
- Written and oral exam through American Board of Pediatrics

A
- Premature delivery
- Low birth weight
- Congenital malformations (birth defects)
- Sepsis
