Needling:

-regulates intestines, transforms stagnation
-clears damp heat, alleviates diarrhea and dysenteric disorder
-regulates SP and ST
-activates channel and alleviates pain

-Point of the sea of blood
ST 38
Location: on lower leg, midway between tibio-femoral joint line (level w poplit crease) and prominence of lat malleolus, one finger-breadth lateral to anterior crest of tibia.
Needling: perp or oblique 1-1.5cun
Actions:
-expels wind-damp and alleviates pain
-Benefits the shoulder
ST 39
Location: on lower leg, 3 cun inferior to ST 37, one finger breadth lateral to anterior crest of tibia
Needling: perp or oblique 1-1.5 cun
Actions:
- moves SI qi and transforms stagnation
- regulates and harmonizes intestines and clears damp heat
-activates channel, alleviates pain

Point of sea of blood
ST 40
Location: lower leg, midway between tibia-femoral joint (pop crease) and lat. malleolus, 2 fingerbreadths lateral to anterior crest of the tibia.
Needling: perp or oblique 1-1.5 cun
Actions:
- transforms phlegm and dampness
- benefits chest
- clears phlegm from lung, alleviates cough and wheezing
- clears phlegm from heart, calms the spirit
-activates the channel, alleviates pain
SP 6
Location: on the lower leg, 3 cun proximal to prominence of medial malleolus, in depression close to medial crest of tibia Needling
Needling: perp. Or oblique 1-1.5 cun
CONTRAINDICATION: Contraindicated in pregnancy
Actions:
- Tonifies SP and ST
- Resolves Dampness
- harmonizes LV and tonifies KD
- regulates menstruation, induces labor

Location: 2 cun superior to border of patella, in the tender depression of the bulge of vastus Medialis, directly above SP 9

Lower leg, in depression below the bellies of gastroc. 8 fun distal to popliteal crease, midway between UB 40 & UB 60
Needling: Perp or Oblique prox/dist 1-1.5 cun
UB 58
1 cun inferior and lateral to UB 57. 7 cun directly superior to UB 60.
Needling: Perp. or oblique, prox/dist 1-1.5

On the popliteal crease midway between tendons biceps femoris and semitendonosis
Needling: perp 1-1.5 or prick to bleed.
Caution: tibial nerve, popliteal artery/vein

Below lateral aspect of the knee, in depression 1 cun anterior and inferior to the head of fibula
Needling: perp or slight oblique-posterior 1-1.5 cun. Can be thru-needled to SP 9.
KD 1
Bottom of foot 1/3 of the distance between the base of the 2nd toe and heel, between the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones.
Needling: perp .5-1cun
KD 2
Medial side of the foot, distal and inferior to medial malleolus in depression distal and inferior to navicular tuberosity.
Needling: perp .5-1cun
KD 3
In depression between Achilles tendon and medial malleolus, level with prominence of medial malleolus.
Needling: Perp .5-1cun or thread to UB 60
GB 43
Between 4th and 5th toe, .5 cun proximal to margin of the web.
Needling: perp .3-.5 cun OR oblique proximal .5-1 cun
