A
Meningitis

What is the Brudzinski Sign?
A
Passive neck flexion causing pain.
Indicates meningitis.
-patient often flexes knees to take pressure off the neck

What is the Kernig Sign?
A
Patient is supine with knees bent and the physician extends the lower leg. Paint indicates meningitis.
