Describe the process for a full alignment of the ADIRS when the FLAPS are not retracted.

  • If the FLAPS are not retracted the flight crew should not set all ADIRS to OFF at the same time
  • In order to perform the alignment with the FLAPS not retracted, set a single IR mode selector to OFF for more than 5 seconds, then set that IR mode selector to NAV. Repeat this for each remaining IR mode selector switch.
