This Pasuk is about good and bad ppl

How could שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל (Shmuel) serve Hashem if he was so young and not a Cohen?

He helped עֵלִ֥י הַכֹּהֵֽן (Eli HaCohen) with errands and chores.
