How is the NAMP divided and numbered?
Divided into Chapters containing paragraphs (2.1.4 chapter.paragraph.smallerparagraph)
What are the four types of changed to the NAMP?
Interim change, change, correction and deviation
What is the difference between a change and a correction in the NAMP?
A change is a modification of policies while a correction fixes spelling and grammar
When would a deviation from the NAMP be necessary?
When a marine or sailor has exceeded the expectations of their rank and are being stopped by NAMP procedures.
What are the eight acronyms associated with the NAMP?
AWP, EXREP, ICRL, IMRL, NMCS, PMCS, NIIN and NSN
What is the difference between ICRL and IMRL?
ICRL is the capability of repair while IMRL is the list of materials/tools required for an activity
What is the difference between NMCS and PMCS?
NMCS means an aircraft has no mission capability while PMCS means partial capability
What is the difference between NIIN and NSN?
NSN is the 13 digit stock number consisting of the FSC and the nine digits of the NIIN [NSN = FSC(4) + NIIN(9)]
What are the three levels of maintenance?
NADEP, IMA and OMA
What is the difference between Rework and Upkeep maintenance?
Rework is rebuilding an existing part or component while Upkeep is maintaining the part in its original state
What is the difference between Scheduled and Unscheduled maintenance/
Scheduled maintenance is known and periodical Unscheduled is unpredicted and requires troubleshooting
What are the nine types of inspections?
Daily, Turnaround, Conditional, NDI, Phase, Acceptance, Transfer and ASPA
How long are Daily and Turnaround inspections good for? (assuming no flight occurs)
Daily - 72 hours Turnaround - 24 hours
What type of equipment would be used in an NDI?
X-ray, Ultrasound, etc.
True or False, the Acceptance and Transfer inspections happen at the same time?
True, one inspector would be “ giving” and the other would be the “recieving” the aircraft
