Have broad leaves

Mahogany- strong, durable but expensive Ash- strong, durable but expensive Oak- strong, durable but expensive Beech- strong, tough but expensive Balsa- lightweight, soft but very weak

A
Have needle like leaves
Grow quick in about 30 years

Pine- strong, lightweight but warps and splits easily
Larch- hard, tough but can twist in humidity
Spruce- straight, strong but has little resistance to rotting
