A
A natural process that COULD cause death or injury, or destroy property etc.

A
When a natural hazard actually happens and destruction and deaths occur

A
Geological (land and tectonic)
Meteorological (weather and climate)

What factors affect the hazard risk in Natrual Hazards?
A
- people living in areas exposed to natural hazards (higher risk)
- if the population can deal/find ways to prevent the event (lower risk)

Can Earthquake’s be predicted in advance?
A
No- they happen very suddenly with no warning, making it harder to protect people.
