Where is the possession, sale, or consumption of alcohol prohibited?
Anywhere while wearing sorority gear and on chapter premises
When can a member drink or possess alcohol during a chapter event?
Off chapter premises, either BYOB or registered third party vendors (i.e. licensed bartenders)
What are limitations on purchasing alcohol?
Cannot be purchased with chapter funds or for anyone under legal drinking age
What events can the chapter NOT host or co-host?
Anything where alcohol is purchased by the host organization, at an establishment where half of annual sales are from alcohol, open parties, alcohol theme parties
What is an open party?
An event where non sorority members can freely enter with alcohol
What is bulk quantity and distribution?
Kegs, cases, party balls
Bongs, funnels, drinking games
What membership events must be dry?
Recruitment, ritual, member education
At a function, 6 of these are allowed
12 Oz cans of undistilled beverages with less than 8% alcohol
At a function, 4 of these are allowed
12 Oz cans of undistilled beverages with alcohol of 8-11%
Two ways to host out of town events
Proof of lodging or provided transportation (hired)
Chaperones for events with alcohol
At least 2, keep tabs on drinking behaviors and upholding policies, must be sober, provide rides or ways home
How are chaperones selected?
First on a volunteer basis, then drawn from members who agreed to attend, only once per term if there are remaining members, seniors are exempt from big annual events
