What are the class A dimensions/requirements
18,000ft to 60,000ft. IFR required
What are the class B dimensions/requirements/weather
Class B-Busy (major Airports)
-Upside-down wedding cake up to 10,000ft MSL
-Student pilot needs endorsement
-ATC clearance required to enter
-Mode C within 30nm, or flying over

Class C (busy but not major)
Inner Core:
5nm (surface to 4,000ft AGL)
Outer Core:
10nm (1,200AGL-4,00AGL)

What are the different types of Special Use Airspace?
WRAMPCN
-Warning Areas: Extends 3mm outwards from U.S coast
-Restricted: Restricted areas to fly through
-Alert: High volume of training (stay alert)
-MOA: Military Training (should avoid, use extreme caution)
-Prohibited: Cannot fly through the area
-Controlled Firing Areas: Spotter detects aircraft (not on chart)
-NSA (national security)
What are the different types of Other Use Airspace?
PATTPAM

-Military training routes
When do we need a Mode C transponder?
-Class A, B, C airspace.
-Inside of the mode C veil,
-above class C airspace, and above 10000
-30sm from Class B
What are Federal Airways?
Airways that start at 1,200AGL and go up to 17,999FT.
8sm total (4sm each side from center line)
What is considered a stable atmosphere?
-A stable/normal lapse rate (2-3c)
-Clouds sit at an altitude
Where is the base of a cloud?
-Where temperature meets dewpoint
What is an unstable atmosphere?
-Moisture in air
-Lifting force (sun heating)
-Unstable lapse rate (temperature)
-High rising clouds
