How can you gain marks in an essay question?
1 - Introduction
5 - Knowledge (specific related facts)
1 - structure (more than 1 factor)
1 - conclusion (saying which factor is most important)
1 - evidence (a final piece of information that proves your conclusion.
In an Evaluate (How Useful) Question, how can you gain marks?
1 - Author 1 - Date 1 - Purpose 2 - what is in the source 2 - what the source misses out
What MUST you do in every evaluate question after each point you make?
Say why what you have said makes the source useful or less useful
Do you need to know anything about the topic for a comparison question?
No (Just read the sources and do it)
How can you gain marks in a Comparison Question
1 - Overall comparison (whether the sources agree or disagree overall)
1 - Simple comparison (picking out a specific thing both sources discuss and either agree or disagree with one another about) (Can repeat 3 times)
1 - Developed Comparison (providing evidence from the source to back up your answer) (Can use to increase the value of your simple comparison)
Can comparison questions partly agree with one another?
No they either AGREE OR DISAGREE NOT BOTH
