Vienna Congress was a pan-europe meeting chaired by Austria(Klemmins von Metternich) in 1814-15. It aimed at providing stability in Europe and establishing pre revolutionary/ pre-napolianic social and political order. It restored Bourbon Dynasty in France, Orange in Holland and many more.

Who was Metternich and what is Metternich System
A
Prince Metternich, foreign minister from 1809 to 1821 and Chancellor from 1821 to 1848 of Austria. Metternich System is the repressive mechanism adopted by him to implement his ideas. 3 main principles :
1. Return to pre-revolutionary political order.
2. Suppression of nationalism and democratic ideas
3. protection of Austrian interest
