drains sphenoidal recess
Superior Meatus
openings of the posterior sphenoidal sinus and posterior ethmoidal sinus
- drains for the sphenoid and posterior ehtmoid sinuses
Middle Meatus
opening into the frontal sinus, communication with the fronal sinus via the frontonasal duct
- Ethmoid bulla: largest anterior air cell; maxillary sinus opening
- contains the semilunar hiatus
Semilunar Hiatus
- drainage of the maxillary sinus
Inferior Meatus
drains tears from the lacrimal sacs in the medial cathus of the eye intot he nasal cavity
Nasolacrimal Duct
drains tears from lacrimal sacs int he medial canthus of teh eye into the nasal cavity
