What are the critiques to Narrative Paradigm?

  • Not all communication is narrative (e.g. casual)
  • Does not include phatic (manners and etiquette)
  • Conservative bias (doesn’t allow for people’s ideas to change), Fisher argues that it can persuade people to adopt new stories
