An Apostate Religious Gentile System as Babylon represents the Gentile Political System. Nineveh is distinguished from all other ancient Gentile cities by the fact that it knew God under the preaching of Jonah, but had now completely apostatized into paganism

They were destroyed by a flood when the gates of the rivers were opened up..the walls literally dissolved
