Q

Function of the Cardiovascular System

A

Function #1 delivers oxygen and neutron to the cells of the body and removes carbon dioxide and waste

Function, #2 maintains bodies blood pressure

Function, #3 Maintaining the Body’s pH

Function, #5-8 transporting hormones, fighting infection, aiding in digesting assisting in repair of damage tissue

Q

Enzyme in hormones of the digestive system

A

Gastrin: produced in the stomach and stimulates stomach acid

CHOLECYSTOKININ (CCK): produce in the small intestine and stimulates the release of enzymes from the pancreas and bile from the liver

Secretin: produce in the small intestine and stimulates the production of bicarbonate by the pancreas

insulin: produce in the pancreas and regulates blood sugar levels

Glucagon: produced in the pancreas, and helps to release glucose from the liver

Bile: produce by the liver and stored in the gallbladder- helps break down fat in the small intestine

Q

Division of the nervous system

A

The Central Nervous system is composed of the brain and the spinal cord. This is the central command center, where all communication and actions occur in the body.

The Peripheral Nervous System is composed of the nerves that branches are from the spinal cord and innervate the body. The system sends the signal by the brain to target the location.

17
Q

Structure of the neutron

A

Cell body: contains nucleus and organelles

Dendrites: short branch-link extensions that generate electrical impulse

Axon: long extensions that transmit signals to other neutrons
