This deck will aid you in understanding the common archetypes present in mythology.
What is Sacrifice?
Creation comes from the literal sacrifice of a god; usually, the god is literally sacrificed by being physically made into the universe
What is Secretion?
Creation comes from the emission of divine bodily fluids of a god; they usually focus on the creation of human beings but not always.
What is Deus Faber?
Creation comes from the handywork of a god; the god is seen as an artist, craftsmen, or architect - they literally hand-make their creations
What is Ex Nihilo?
Creation comes from nothing but thought, dreams, or word; nothing exists until a god makes it exist with absolutely nothing to help them.
What is Emergence?
Creation is the result of entering this world from another one; usually, the first world is too cramped to hold all of creation and so it must emerge into a bigger one.
What is Division/Consummation?
Creation comes from dividing and consummating different things in order to form one supreme thing.
What is Accretion/Conjunction?
Creation comes from the mingling of primal elements - earth, fire, air, and water; nothing helps these elements, they do it on their own.
What is Two Creators?
Creation comes from the combined effort of two or more gods in either cooperation or conflict; without one, the other cannot jumpstart creation; there needs to be more than one god.
What is Earth Diver?
Creation comes from the efforts of a being literally diving into primordial waters in order to bring a small amount of land to the surface in order for creation to flourish.
