cyclosporine
an immunosuppressant used for atopic dermatitis and immune mediated skin disorders
oral solution or ointment
SE: vomiting, gingival hyperplasia (overgrowth of gum) and hair overgrowth
lokivetmab
treat atopic dermatitis in dogs
DOA is 4-8 weeks
administered through SC injection
MOA - blocks the action of interleukin 31 which causes itchiness
azathioprine
cytotoxic (kills cells/used for cancer) but can be used with the glucocorticosteroids prednisoline & prednisone
DO NOT USE IN CATS
effects the S phase of the cell cycle
available in tablet form or as an injection
SE: bone marrow suppression, diarrhoea
cyclophosphamide
cytotoxic drug
available as injection
SE (can be rlly bad): bone marrow suppression, haemorrhagic cystitis (bladder), diarrhoea
chlorambucil
cytotoxic drug
SE: bone marrow suppression & anorexia
