The nature of Allah
Monotheistic. Characteristics, Tawhid (oneness), immanence (involvement), transcendence (beyond understanding), omnipotence, beneficence (caring), mercy, justice, Adalat (Shi’a only, equitable/just)
Risalah
Prophethood/messengers. Believed 124,000 prophets, only 25 in Qur’an. Prophets, Adam (first), Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Abraham’s son), Musa (Moses), Dawud (Israel’s king), Isa (Jesus), Muhammad (last, perfect message)
Muslim holy books
Accept five (kutub), Qur’an mostly. Books, Qur’an, Sahifah (Scrolls), Injil (Gospel), Zabur (Psalms), Tawrat (Torah).
Malaikah
Angels, Jibril (revealed Qur’an to Muhammad), Izra’il (angel of death, Day of Judgement), Mika’il (angel of mercy, rewards good lives)
Al-Qadr
Predestination, Allah knows/controls. Day of Judgement, judge on lives, too late to forgive. Muslims live for reward, aware of thoughts/beliefs/actions, help others.
Akhirah
Afterlife, angel of death takes soul to barzakh. Allah judges on life, Day of Judgement resurrection, angels open record of lifetime, al-Jannah (paradise) or Jahannam (hell)
