What is a melody?

A

A tune supported by its accompaniment see pag 528 text… Melody is the most common “texture” in music

What is tempo?

A

Tempo is often referred to as “pace” it can be used in the forground or the background. If its in the forground it determined the overall tempo of the sound track…. usually faster. If its in the background it helps set up the atmosphere… usually slower

A
