Adductor Longus M.
Origin: Body of the pubis & inferior ramus of the pubis
Insertion: Middle 1/3 of the linea aspera
Innervation: Obturator Nerve (L3)
Action: adducts the thigh and medially rotates (a little)
Adductor Brevis M.
Origin: Body of the pubis & inferior ramus of the pubis
Insertion: Pectineal line of the femur & proximal end of the line aspera
Innervation: Obturator Nerve (L3)
Action: Adductor of the thigh (little)
Adductor Magnus (Adductor Portion) M.
Origin: Body of pubis & inferior ramus of pubis
Insertion: gluteal tuberosity of the femur & linea aspera
Innervation: Obturator Nerve (L3, L4)
Action: Adducts the thigh
Adductor Magnus (Hamstring Part) M.
Origin: Ischial tuberosity
Insertion: adductor tubercle of the femur (distal)
Innervation: Tibial part of the sciatic nerve (L4)
Hamstring Part: Extend the thigh
Gracilis M.
Origin: Body of Pubis & Inferior Ramus of Pubis
Insertion: Superior Part of Medial Part of Tibia
Innervation: Obturator Nerve (L2,L3)
Action: adducts the thigh, rotates leg medially
Obturator Externus M.
Origin: obturator membrane & obturator foramen (obturator membrane inside obturator foramen)
Insertion: Trochanteric Fossa of Femur
Innervation: Obturator nerve (L3, L4)
Action: Laterally rotate thigh, steadily keeps the head of femur in acetabulum
